Yvonne Eggleston Bush, 85, went to be with our Lord and Savior on August 24th, 2025, following a long illness. She is preceded in death by her husband Gale and grandson Dean. She is Survived by her two children, Linda Reeve and her husband Ken, and Alan Bush of Newport News, VA and 3 grandchildren, Beth, Lauren and Miche as well as 5 great grandchildren. Yvonne was a graduate of Newport News High School in Newport News, VA. She was a long-time employee of Riverside Hospital, first serving as the Residence Manager of the Professional Nursing School Dormitory, and then as the librarian in the student library. She was an active member of First Baptist Church, Newport News. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family, going to the beach, doing crossword puzzles, reading, and watching crime dramas on television. Yvonne will truly be missed by her family.  Her warm touch and gentle kindness created a lasting impact on her family, and anyone blessed enough to know her. The family wishes to express its deepest gratitude and appreciation to the administrative staff, nurses, nursing assistants, and support staff of Warwick Forest for the excellent service provided during her stay there. Memorial service is Friday, September 19th, 2025 at 11:00 AM, at First Baptist Church, Newport News.  In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org or 358 McLaws Cir.
