On Saturday, July 3, 2021, Willis Delores Brown, 83, was called home by her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She enjoyed being kind to others and seeing the good in people. She loved spending time and taking care of her family especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening and watching the plants grow. She also enjoyed watching college basketball (ACC fan).

She was preceded in death by her son, Clyde Clinton Brown of Smithfield. Survivors include her husband, Clyde Clinton Brown Sr.; her son, Ricky Brown (Devinia) of Williamsburg; her daughter, Nichele McKoy (Keith) of Carrollton; her daughter-in-law, Tracey Brown of Smithfield; seven grandchildren, Ashley McKoy, Kaitlyn Brown, Jeremiah McKoy, Jordan Brown, Christian McKoy, Gabriel Brown, and Israel Brown; one brother, Manning Bryant (Wilmington, NC); one sister, Edna Broadus (Indianapolis, IN), and a host of family that she loved dearly.

A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, July 9, 2021, at W. J. Smith & Son Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at noon with a funeral service immediately following at 1 PM. Burial will follow immediately after at Peninsula Memorial Park.
