Jay was married to his loving wife Charlotte, for a remarkable 67 years.  Together they
raised two children; Stephen (Teresa) and Lisa (Alan).  Jay was a very proud grandfather to Rindi (Jason), Amy (Jason), and Will (Cassie), and a cherished great grandfather to Jennaveve, Emily, Avianna, Haley, Jayce, Justin and Kyle.  He was also blessed to be a great- great grandfather to Jade and a baby boy on the way.

Despite spending his adult life in Virginia, his heart always remained in Bristol Tennessee, a place filled with cherished childhood memories and deep-rooted family ties.
Jay was a kind, quiet and gentle soul who enjoyed simple pleasures. He found joy in the little things like watching birds at his feeder, spending countless hours crafting bird houses, drinking coffee and even the weekly ritual of playing the lottery.  Though he never hit the jackpot he always played with a hopeful heart.

He was a devoted family man and a cherished friend to many.  He will be deeply missed by his family, sisters Pauline, Annie and Betty, niece Kay, sister in law Linda and countless other loved ones.
Though he has departed, his spirit lives on in the hearts of those he touched.

He is now at peace with the Lord.
