William Cecil Mulligan, 64, of Hampton, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 8, 2022. Bill served in the U. S. Air Force at Langley AFB, worked at Northern Virginia Community College, and recently retired from ITA International in Newport News.

He loved his family, grandchildren and working with technology whether networks or gadgets! He loved to travel with the love of his life and family; Mexico being his favorite. Anyone who met Bill and who really knew him, was a friend. He loved being with his grandchildren and pup, Logan.

He is predeceased by his mother, Phyllis Holdren. Bill is survived by his love, Donette McClelland; sons, Aaron Mulligan (Nicole) of Winchester, Luke Mulligan of Leesburg, Chase McClelland (Mandy) of Windsor, Austen McClelland (Tyler) of Newport News; sisters, Michele Mulligan of Ashburn, Brenda Mulligan of Leesburg, Sandy Young of Ashburn. He leaves behind 4 cherished grandchildren, Cody, Chase Jr., Leila and Zoey.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 14, 2022 from 1:30 to 2:30 PM at W. J. Smith & Son Funeral Home, 210 Harpersville Road in Newport News. A graveside service will follow at 3 PM with military honors at Peninsula Memorial Park.
