Susan Colvin Connell, 73, of Newport News, Virginia, passed away on June 2, 2026, at Charter Senior Living after a lengthy illness.

Susan was born on October 7, 1952, in Hampton, VA, then later moved to Newport News.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dick and Pauline Colvin, and her brother, Edwin Colvin.

Susan is survived by her beloved son, Chase (Kim), and her two grandchildren, Presley and Julia, who were the light of her life.

Susan was an amazing mother, Nana, daughter, aunt, friend, and devoted dog mom. She graduated from Warwick High School and took great pride in serving on the school's reunion committee for many years.

She enjoyed traveling, working in her yard and being on a beach. Most weekends you could find her making pancakes for Chase and his friends, then it became French toast for Presley and Julia.

Above all, Susan treasured the people in her life. She leaves behind a multitude of friends and family who will cherish her memory and miss her dearly.
