Roslyn "Joanie" Karavias, 70, passed away Sunday, December 12, 2021 surrounded by her three children. Joanie was a dedicated employee of CSX Transportation, retiring in 2017. She was a "free spirit" who enjoyed spending time with family and friends and traveling.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Joseph James Karavias. Left to cherish her memories are her three children, Joseph James Karavias (Brandy), Carey Ann Joyner (Mike), and Gerrilyn Marie Karavias; sister Claudia Jane Cooper and brother Jimmy Kidd; and eleven grandchildren, Joretta, Onnie, Olivia, Joey, Joseph, Kylie, Sophia, Wyatt, Cayden, Julianna, and Jaxton.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday December 21,2021 at Menchville Baptist Church at 11 AM followed by funeral services at 12 NOON. Burial will follow at Peninsula Memorial Park.
