Renee Parisher Foxx, age 60, of Newport News Virginia, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2024 in her home after battling several health issues.

Her family and close friends surrounded her during her last few days, providing loving support, sharing stories, singing, and praying together.
Renee was born on January 8, 1964 to Gene Hilton Parisher and Laura Joan Parisher in Rocky Mount North Carolina.  After graduating from Peninsula Christian School in 1982, she went on to marry her high school sweetheart, Byron Foxx Jr. on July 9, 1983 and had two wonderful children, Micah and Rachel, both of whom loved her dearly.  Renee was affectionately known as "Mamsie" to her children and three adoring grandchildren, Ayla May Foxx, James Lucas Foxx, and Theo Foxx Grabeel.

Renee was a lifelong lover of music and was a tremendous singer and songwriter.  She sang in church choirs and in smaller groups, with a strong conviction to sharing the Lord's message and uplifting those around her.  She was also a Christian music publisher and supported Byron with his ministry "Bible Truth Music".

Renee will always be remembered and loved by those that knew her.  She was a great storyteller and had a wonderful sense of humor.  She was incredibly easy to talk to and was a loyal friend.  She was non-judgmental and very accepting of others.  Above all else, she was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be missed by all!

Renee was predeceased by her father, Gene Parisher.  She is survived by her mother Joan Parisher; husband Byron Foxx Jr.; her in-laws Byron Foxx Sr. and Ester Foxx; son Micah Foxx and his wife Amy; daughter Rachel Foxx and her husband Justin; sisters, Concetta Gardner, Davia Carrier, and Crystal Phillips and a brother Gregg Parisher.

Services will be held at Central Baptist Church (2739 Hampton Highway, Yorktown VA) on Monday December 23, 2024 with the viewing starting at 12:00 noon followed by the funeral service at 1:30 PM.  Burial will immediately follow in Parklawn Memorial Park (2551 N Armistead Ave. Hampton VA).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the building fund at Calvary Baptist Church, 15155 Turner Dr. Smithfield VA 23430, a ministry Renee felt strongly about.
