Rebecca Cheek Smith, 96, died on Sunday, March 21, 2021. Born in Bedford, VA she had been an area resident since 1944. She was a member of Hilton Baptist Church, where she served with the Women on Mission, Happy Hearts and Singing Saints. She also loved to volunteer with the Salvation Army Soup Kitchen.

Preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, V.G. Smith; she is survived by three children, Vivian R. Smith, of Poquoson, Judith A. Kimble of Williamsburg, and Michael G. Smith and his wife Pam of Hampton; four grandchildren, Rachael S. Buckman and her husband Kurt, Noah Smith, Colin Kimble and his wife Amanda, and Ryan Kimble; three great-grandchildren, Olivia Buckman, Jackson Buckman and Grey Kimble.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions all services will be private.
