Phyllis Ann Colgan, a devoted mother, grandmother, and Nana transitioned peacefully into glory on November 21st, 2025 at the age of 89. She was born and raised in Shipman, VA to Irving and Louise Robertson.

She is preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, and one brother.

Her memory will be cherished and kept alive by her family. Phyllis is survived by her daughters: Mary Beth Colgan and Sandra Sholar, grandchildren: Angela Johnson, Krystle DuVal, Ritchie Sholar, and Karen Robinson, eight great-grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren, brother Irving Robertson Jr., a host of nieces and nephews, and the love of her life Sonny Bainey.

She will be remembered for her strong faith in our Lord and Savior, her dedication and love for her family, her feistiness, and her smile.

The family would like to thank Riverside Hospice for the care, support, and love they expressed for her and the family.

A celebration of life service will be held at Waters Edge Church Newport News (836 J. Clyde Morris Blvd, Newport News, VA 23601) on December 13, 2025, at 1:00 P.M.
