Pamela Griffin
O'Marah
d. Aug 3, 2026
Ocala
Pamela Griffin O'Marah, 73, of Ocala, Florida, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2026.
Pam was born in Hammond, Indiana, to Vernon and Emogene Hudson on August 29, 1952. She was a devoted wife, mother, and teacher. She taught elementary school while living in Newport News, VA for 27 years, shaping the lives of many children.
As a young mother, Pam spent countless hours at the ballpark cheering on her sons at their baseball games. Whether it was a board game around the kitchen table, a round of golf, a spirited turn at the slot machines, or a night of bowling, she always appreciated a good competition. She spent her retirement alongside her husband Dave enjoying their community. The years Pam shared with Dave in Florida were among her happiest. Together they built a home filled with warmth, laughter, and the easy contentment of a life well lived. She delighted in their days together enjoying live music, gardening, and being by Dave's side.
She is survived by her husband, David O'Marah and his sons, Greg and Kevin O'Marah and a daughter Jennifer O'Marah; Pam's sons, Daniel Griffin and his wife Kendell, Adam Griffin and his wife Janet; and her cherished grandchildren, Blake, Lane, Leighton, Wells, Alexis, Dylan, Chloe, Corinne, and Mary Ann.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, William H. Griffin III, and her parents, Vernon and Emogene Hudson.
Pam will be remembered for her joyful spirit and the warmth she brought to everyone she knew.
A graveside service will be held in Pam's honor on Thursday, August 13, 2026 at 11:00 am at Peninsula Memorial Park on Warwick Boulevard, Newport News.
