Norma Lee Todd Moore passed away in her home Thursday, October 7, 2021. She was born on March 27, 1933 and was the oldest of five children. She grew up in Hampton, Virginia and lived there most of her life. Soon after graduating from Hampton High School in 1951, Norma Lee began working at Newport News Shipbuilding, and spent most of her career in the administrative office of the Sheet Metal Department. She retired in 1993 as a Master Shipbuilder with more than 40 years of service. Ronald 'Ronnie' Thomas Moore, the love of her life, also worked in the Sheet Metal Department where they met. They married on November 30, 1963, and were married 53 years. Norma Lee and Ronnie were blessed with a son, Bryan, to whom they were devoted and loved very much.

Norma Lee was a blessing to her family, especially to her father and younger brothers and sisters after her mother died in 1958. She was both a sister and a mother to the three youngest children for almost six years, taking them to church, helping with their education, and giving them the love and comfort all children need. In the years that followed, she continued to support her sisters and brothers as they grew up, married and started families of their own.

She was a member of Calvary Reformed Presbyterian Church. Norma Lee loved her church family, and participated in ministries, helping with meals and accompanying fellow church members to cancer treatments. She especially enjoyed Bible study and prayer with friends.

Norma Lee was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert Elias Todd and Rosa Lee Nettles Todd, and her husband, Ronald Thomas Moore. She is survived by her son, David Bryan Moore of Hampton; granddaughter Stephanie Mouring, Stephanie's husband Matthew and their children Blaire, Rosalie, Harlow and Olive of Holly Springs, NC. She is also survived by her sisters, Delores Eure and her husband Adrian of Hampton, Roselyn Yourish and her husband Richard of Yorktown, and her brothers, Arnold Todd and his wife Pam of Newport News, and Herbert Todd and his wife Sheila of Hampton.

Services will be held at Calvary Reformed Presbyterian Church in Hampton, Virginia on Tuesday, October 12, 2021, with visitation at 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at noon. Burial will follow at Peninsula Memorial Park.

The family appreciates the special care given to Norma Lee by the doctors and nurses of Virginia Oncology Associates during the last three years of her life.
