Myrna Ann Powell, 87, passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2025. She was a longtime resident  of the Hilton Village area of Newport News and was a faithful member of Hilton Baptist Church until relocating to the Gardens at Warwick Forest. Myrna Ann was owner and operator of a typing service Secretarial Aid.

She was preceded in death her her loving husband of 52 years Carleton Powell. Survivors include her two sons Carl Powell and his wife Dawn and John Powell and his wife Jane; grandchildren and great grandchildren, Jeremy Oblien and his wife Julia and their children Aiden and Conor, Ashley Oblien and her children Anilah and Ava, Michael Oblien and his wife Danielle, September Howard and her husband Jordan and their children Grayson and Dawson, Madison Powell, Kate Tuck and her husband Heath and their children Madeline and George, Elisabeth Farmer and her husband Lawson and their child Harper.

A graveside service will be conducted on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 in Peninsula Memorial Park at 1:00 PM. Memorial donations may be sent to your church or your favorite charity.
