Morgan DaSchan Smith, 31, passed away peacefully at his home in Hampton, Virginia on May 10, 2025.  Morgan was the oldest child and son born to Schantelle Smith-Boyd and David M. Boyd, Jr.   He was educated in the Hampton City School System, and a member of Zion Prospect Baptist Church in Yorktown, Virginia.

He is survived by his parents, Schantelle Smith-Boyd and David M. Boyd, Jr.; siblings, Zahreya Smith-Packett (Markee), Jeremy Smith, Jayden Smith-Boyd, Britany Boyd, Jamir Jones and Davella McAdams; aunt, Tonya M. Smith, uncle, Ezekiel J. Garner (Tina); grandparents, Rev. Ezekiel Smith, Jr. and Bessie Williams-Smith, Yvonne Boyd and George Davis; nephews, Zander Smith-Skinner and A'Nye Jones; nieces, Na'Veaja Jones and Heaven Dark.

Morgan was a charming and compassionate person, always willing to lend a helping hand whenever he could.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 AM, Saturday, May 24, 2025 at Zion Prospect Baptist Church, Yorktown, Virginia. A funeral service will immediately follow at 11 AM. Burial will be private.
