Michael Minarik
Jr.
May 24, 1941 — Sep 5, 2026
"Mickey" (Mike) was born in Vandergrift, PA on May 24, 1941. The family moved to Natrona Heights, PA where he grew up with his brothers, David and Steve and sister Patty. Mike through his life had 4 loves, sports, computers, music and Harley Davidson. He began playing softball, football and basketball throughout his school years. Mike cheered for the Steelers and adopted the Redskins as his second team. He attended Har-Brack High School and joined the band. He played clarinet and then joined the marching band. Football was king and he was the drum major for the band. He strutted down the field every Friday. His love of music continued all his life, singing and directing the church choir. A favorite pastime was listening to local musicians.
After high school, Mike joined the Navy and never went on a ship. He did computer programing for Navy aircraft. This started his computer career. He worked at Honeywell in Philadelphia. He married Pat and lived with their 3 children, Audrey, Michele and Michael. The family moved to Gloucester and Mike worked for several school districts in computers. He then owned Connecting Point Computers until retiring in 2012. He loved computer programing and Apple computers. Mike and Pat divorced and he remarried. Shortly before retiring, he bought his Harley. Mike loved to "just ride". He rode with the Harley Group from as far as Canada down to Tennessee. The trips were filled with good food, interesting places and great friends.
Mike enjoyed life and to the day he died, he used his "boyish" charm on everyone. He loved his family and was so proud of his children. He will be missed. The memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 12th at 3PM at Denbigh United Presbyterian Church 302 Denbigh Blvd., NN 23602. Burial will be private at Albert G. Horton, Jr. State Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Denbigh United Presbyterian Church or to a favorite charity.
