Melva Jane
Wall
Jun 11, 1932 — Jan 19, 2021
Melva Jane Wall, 88, died peacefully the morning of January 19, 2021 with her family by her side. Our angel on earth was able to see Jesus, her Savior and Lord, for the first time. She was born on June 11, 1932 in her family home in Tyner, NC to the late Joseph Arthur and Erma Privott Wiggins. Jane has been a devoted member of Menchville Baptist Church since 1980.
Jane married Ruben Wall, her best friend and partner in life on July 4, 1959. Their love story began on a blind date over 63 years ago. Their love for Jesus never failed and their love never waived. They lived their lives showing what love should look like, unconditional and unbreakable, a true representation of the wedding band they wore, an unbroken circle. The value of love and family will be her legacy for many generations to come. Truly the greatest love story ever!
In addition to her husband Ruben Wall, those left to cherish her memories are two sons, Andrew C. Wall "Andy" and his wife Judith "Tommie", and James Daniel Wall "Dan" and his wife Lori; two grandsons, Lance Daniel Wall (Katie) and Luke Conner Wall; one step-granddaughter, Stephanie Nicole Selph; and two great grandchildren, Riley Ann Jones and Caleb Jackson Jones. She is also survived by her sisters, Vivian Wiggins Jordan (Eugene), Carolyn Wiggins Joyner; and her brother Joseph Arthur Wiggins Jr. (Loretta).
For Jane, being a momma and a grandmomma is what defined her for most of her life. She loved spending each day with her two sons and later with her grandchildren. The lessons of family, trust, honor, respect, love for Jesus and unconditional love were instilled in the children Jane raised and will be and have been carried on by her precious loved ones.
Visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:30 PM on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Menchville Baptist Church, followed by a funeral service at 1:30 PM with Pastor Jim Weston officiating. A private graveside will follow.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Menchville Baptist Church, General Fund.
