McKinley H. Olinger, 83, of Newport News, passed peacefully on Thursday, November 17, 2022.

He worked in the tool room at Newport News Shipbuilding and retired after 40 years of service. In his retirement, he tried real estate and then worked for the local Ace Hardware for the past 16 years. He enjoyed being busy. In his younger years he was a bowler and won many tournament events; but later in life he enjoyed playing golf more than anything!

He is survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

There will be a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
