Mary Kaitlyn Smitter, 28, of Newport News, left us on June 19, 2021, surrounded by her family and friends. Kaitlyn lived a full and warm life filled with jokes and laughter. She will be fondly remembered and sorely missed.
Kaitlyn was preceded in death by her father, Jon Jay Smitter, her grandmother, Esther Mable Yoder, and her grandfather John David Yoder.
She is survived by her mother, Christine Yoder; her sister, Erin Mullenex; her brother- in -law, Ryan Dillingham; her uncle, John Alan Yoder; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
The family will host an open house on June 23, 2021 from 5 to 8 PM at 53 Hertzler Road, Newport News, VA 23602. All family and friends are invited to stop by and celebrate Kaitlyn's life.
The burial will be private.
