Mary Price Nichols, 92, passed away at home Sunday, August 6, 2023, following a short illness. Born in Madison County, NC, Mary was the daughter of the late Jobe and Lula Price. Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 39 years, Fred R. Nichols, Sr.  She had been a resident of Carrollton since 1992. A former member of Immanuel Baptist Church, she was a current member of Liberty Live Church.  She helped with the youth and bus ministry at Immanuel and enjoyed taking trips with the Heart Throbs at Liberty and loved all in her Sunday School class with Pastor Dickerson.

She was a beloved wife, mama, Grans, great Grans, sister, aunt and friend. She will be remembered by her unwavering love and dedication to Jesus, her children, grandchildren, family and friends. She always thought of others first.

Mary leaves to cherish her memories her son, Fred R. Nichols, Jr.; daughters and beloved sons-in-law, Laura Jo Sullivan (Tom), Lori Simonton (Mark); grandchildren, Emily Schuring (Daniel), Tyler Nichols (Ciara), Kyle Sullivan, Katie Sullivan (Rex), Nick Pennington (Megan), Ali Price (Heath),  Alex Nichols, Dennis Nichols (Natalie), Abby Haenlein (Zack); great grandchildren, Eliana, Atlas, Zion, Soli Schuring, Osha Bottomly, Ruby Nichols, Jackson Pennington and Pennington Twins due in October, Owen, Saylor Price, and Maya Haenlein; and her sister-in-law, Patsy Nichols Falconer.  She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Family and friends will gather for a homegoing service at 12:00 Noon, Saturday, August 12, 2023, followed by visitation, at Liberty Live Church, Hampton, VA with Pastor John Dickerson officiating.  A private burial will be on a later date at Peninsula Memorial Park.  The family suggests memorial contributions to Liberty Live Church, 1021 Big Bethel Rd, Hampton, VA 23666.
