Loyd G. Jordan, 96, went to be with the Lord on October 27th, 2022. He passed away at his home in Moneta, Virginia surrounded by those he loved.

Loyd was born in Lynchburg, Virginia on June 15, 1926 and served his country in the U. S. Army as a rifleman in World War II. He worked as a truck driver and auto mechanic at Nick Allen Buick before spending his retirement traveling around the country with his beloved wife Jean of 34 years in their motorhome. Loyd enjoyed working in his orchard and vegetable garden and attending Morgans Baptist Church where he was a member for many years. With a legacy of patience and hard work, Loyd was such a positive influence in many lives and will be greatly missed.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Diana J. Stover and Barbara J. Griffith (Richard); his grandchildren Kelly (Don), Kristen (Daniel), Leo, Nycki (Brian) and Heath and one great-grandchild Zoey.

He was preceded in death by his wife Jean M. Jordan, a brother Preston, a daughter Tammy L. Ward and a son-in-law Leonard Stover.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Parklawn Memorial Park, 2551 N. Armistead Ave. in Hampton.
