Louretta Shenk Wilson, 86, went to meet her Lord and Savior on November 17, 2022. Most recently Louretta was a resident at Mennowood Retirement Community where she had many dear friends among the residents and staff. Louretta was a faithful member of Warwick River Mennonite Church for many years. She was a 1953 graduate of Warwick High School, completed the Riverside School of Nursing, and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Eastern Mennonite University. Louretta worked as a nurse throughout her career, retiring from Eastern State Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jerry Wilson; daughter Jodi Wilson; parents, Daniel D. and Nancy B. Shenk; sister Lois Pate (Bob); and brothers, Donald Shenk (Jewell) and Paul Shenk (Dorothy). Louretta is survived by her son Matt Wilson (Sharon); grandchildren, Bailey and Ethan Wilson; and daughter Jill Ellis. Also surviving are two sisters, Elizabeth Brunk (Truman) and Alice Nice (Daniel); and two brothers, David Shenk (Harriett) and Maurice Shenk. Aunt Louretta was beloved by many nieces and nephews.
Louretta was a light and encouragement to everyone she met and will be missed by those who knew and loved her.

A memorial-praise service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, November 28, 2022 at Providence Mennonite Church. A reception will follow. Burial will be private.
