Obituary

On Thursday, July 9, 2026, Lois Ann Pollard, 82, was called home by her Heavenly Father.

She was an only child, born in Fredericksburg VA, to the late Manuel and Beatrice Abel.

Lois (known by most as Mrs. P.) had been a resident of Hampton Roads since 1971. She was a co-owner/operator of Tri- City Fuels for thirty-five years.

She volunteered much of her time at Warwick Moose and Deer Park Little League, where she served as president. She and her loving husband (Mr. P.) enjoyed working with children and later started their own baseball organization, known as Tri-City Allstars.

Mrs. P. was a faithful and devoted wife of 49 years. She was a very caring and committed mother, and grandmother. She loved church, her country, and her family with all of her heart. She gave selflessly to everyone she knew.

Mrs. P. will be greatly missed, and will always be remembered for her laugh, her smile, and her sweet personality.

Survivors include her son, Jason Pollard, his wife Julie, and her two grandsons, Brett and Austin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ron Pollard, daughter, Michelle Pollard, and her oldest son, Marcus Pollard. Although she didn't have siblings... she always considered her husband's family as her own, whom she loved dearly!

We find peace and comfort in knowing that Mrs. P. is with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

The family will receive friends on Friday, July17, 2026 at W. J. Smith & Son Funeral Home from 6-7 pm. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 18th at 2 pm at the funeral home. Burial is private.
