On March 3, 2021 Lela "Peggy' Kelly, longtime Newport News resident, joined her bothers, sisters, parents and her loving husband in eternal rest. She leaves behind daughters, Lois, Jean, Judy, and Luanne; sons, Ralph and Johnny;  grandchildren, Angie, Bobby, Jessica, Audra, Laura, Jennifer, Gregory and Mark; as well as great-grandchildren, Mark II, Jeromy, Drew, Aubrey, Austin, Rico and Wyndsor.

Peggy is remembered as a loving and loyal mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend. Peggy served as a devoted military wife while raising her children and being a mentor in the upbringing of each generation to follow.

The family is asking because of Covid-19 restrictions that only invited guests attend the memorial service at the funeral home.

The family is inviting all family and friends to join them at the family home for a celebration of love and life at 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 13th. The celebration will focus on the memories we share of this loving soul and the family she led.
