Kory Alexander Houston, age 44, was a life long resident of Newport News, VA. Kory is survived by his loving wife Kathryn Renee Houston. He is the son of Nancy K. Houston and the late Donald L. Houston. He has one brother, Brock A. Houston, and a son, Clayton Houston. He passed away in his backyard, Friday, May 19, 2023.

Kory graduated from Menchville High School and attended Nashville Auto Diesel School. He was a very gifted mechanic and carpenter. Kory was instrumental in rebuilding his grandmother/mother's home on Cedar Avenue. He repaired many a car for his friends and neighbors. Was a friend to many of our local neighbors. He loved being outdoors and taking charge of all kinds of situations.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM Friday, May 26, 2023 at W. J. Smith & Son Funeral Home.
