NEWPORT NEWS

Obituary

After a long and valiant battle this past year, our brother, Kenneth Wayne Robbins, has gone on to be with his precious Savior, Jesus Christ, on February 1, 2022. His faith statement throughout his illness and confinement has been that he would live and not die and declare the works of the Lord. This faith statement pulled him through 4 different times where the doctors told him he would not be going home again. He told everyone who would listen about the goodness of God and salvation in his various nursing homes and hospitals stays. His faith was inspirational.

Kenneth was born in Newport News, VA. Faith and family were always the main focus of his life. Kenny also loved cars and enjoyed working on his different restoration projects.

Church brought Kenny to the love of his life, Renae and they were married in 1994. Throughout their marriage, they remained active in various churches. These include Open Door Baptist, Bethel Temple and Faith Fellowship. Kenny took early retirement from the Newport News Shipyard a few years back and they then enjoyed their time at home.

Preceding Kenneth in death are his beloved wife, Renae, and parents Alfred and Margaret Robbins. Left to carry on his memory are his brother, Steven Robbins (Brenda) of Monroe Township, OH, father-in-Law, Leon Clyde Blasingame; brothers in law, Lee (Shawn) and Ben (Dawn) Blasingame and their children.

A graveside service will be at 1 PM, Thursday, February 10, 2022 at Peninsula Memorial Park.
