Justin Patrick
Coogan
d. Feb 28, 2020
Newport News
Justin Patrick Coogan 25, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 28, 2020.
He was a manager for Food Lion in Richmond. He was dedicated to his job and was a hard worker. But that's just a couple great things about him. He was an amazing person. Full of life and love. A man with a beautiful soul. Justin had a huge heart, for not only his family but also his friends. He was the type that considered his friends his family because he was just that committed to all the relationships he chose to have. And if you knew that about him he'd probably tell you how lucky you were to have him in your life. And he was right. It was a blessing. The amount of love that came from him was beyond words. He was always there for you when he saw that you needed someone even if you told him you didn't. He understood the meaning of just being there, even if words weren't said. He made a great impact on everyone that was involved in his life. He was a true jokester, always cracking jokes on you for what felt like no reason because he was just that silly. Justin was big on sports, he was a huge New York Giants fan! He could tell you almost anything about any athlete. He enjoyed playing backyard games with his family and friends; anything that made people be involved with one another to have a good time. He was like the life of the party even when there was no party. He even made a night in watching movies a great night. You always knew that when you saw his Sideshow Bob hair style it was going to be a great time.
Justin is predeceased by his maternal grandmother Sandra Frazer and paternal grandparents, Jack and Ann Coogan.
He is survived by his mother Cori Coogan of Virginia, and Pat Coogan of New York;brothers, Eric Young (Amanda) and Brandon Coogan (Jess) of New York; sister Shelby Coogan (Gus and Peaches) of Virginia; maternal grandfather William Frazer and his wife Pamela of Florida; grandmother Rita Bunis of New York; aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and his dog Kaiser.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 7, 2020, at Colonial Heights Church of Christ, 831 Mayfield Ave. Norfolk, Va. 23518.
When we think of Justin we will always remember the countless memories, and his beautiful spirit. He will forever be in our hearts, loved and deeply missed.
