Adoring Wife, Sister, Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother- Joyce A. Wohr gained her wings early am on May 21, 2021 at her home.

We only begin the sorrow without her presence. Joyce embraced all people with delicate hands and a kindred spirit. Her husband and Joyce built a welcoming life in the Hampton Roads area over the last 29 years.

She was a New York native, relocated from Long Island in 1992; born in Corona, NY on September 11, 1944. Joyce's first careers were 9-11 dispatcher and bookkeeping for Macy's Department Stores. It was a good fit for her, always maintaining calmness, composure and accounting for every detail.

She would be crowned later in life, noble enough to become a full time care taker and set sails raising first born, her special needs son Jeff. God doesn't call the qualified, you transform with his guidance and Joyce flourished the quest and answered the call. Her second and third children, her daughters would be taught the nurturing tasks of caring for others through Joyce's behavior. Joyce's nobility taught all her children kindness, patience and compassion for all creeds. Meeting demands of the spoken requests as well as reading non verbal cues to meet those in need.

Joyce is survived by her siblings, sister Joan and brother Gary; her spouse, Erwin;eldest son, Jeff, oldest daughter Trish, youngest daughter, Pam. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren; as well as her nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.

A profound home and care taker, became the strength and back bone with Joyce's nobility. She should be commended for the great honor and works for the contribution she put into this world.
