Joseph John Petrauskis, III, age 63, passed away on June 15, 2026 at Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center.

He was born in Great Lakes, Illinois on March 1, 1963, son of Brenda L. Krostoski and the late Joseph J. Petrauskis, II.

Joe was a life - long carpenter, who loved working with his hands, building beautiful homes and most recently inspecting homes and businesses. He also enjoyed fishing and traveling but most of all, he loved spending time with his children.

Joe was preceded in death by his father and his golden retrievers (Sappy, Cody, Charlie, Jack) that he adored. He is survived by his mother, Brenda Krostoski; his children, Krestina Petrauskis, Victoria Petrauskis, and Joseph Petrauskis; Victoria and Joseph's mother, Karen Stetar-Petrauskis; siblings, Teina K. Para, Adrianne Petrauskis-Heater, and Nikki Owens; numerous nieces and nephews; good friends, and his beloved dog, Sydney.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 20, 2026 from 3:00 - 4:00 PM at W. J. Smith & Son Funeral Home in Newport News, VA.
