As the years went on, John turned his attention to and became a master of fine arts to include custom woodworking , photography and, most recently, wood carving, specializing in caricatures. His other passion was his Honda Gold Wing motorcycle that he rode all over the United States, Canada and even twice to the Arctic Circle in Alaska, once with his three buddies.  Most recently he enjoyed having a good cigar with his many friends.
