Obituary

John Bullion, 88 went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, November 15, 2021.  Born in Wise County, Virginia to the late Neadham and Ida Bullion, he had been a Peninsula resident for over 50 years.

He was a twenty-year Navy veteran from 1952 to 1972; from his Navy career he went on to have various jobs in the food service management industry.  He was now enjoying his almost fifty years of retirement.  He was active with his grandchildren attending school functions, baseball games, and racing events.  His latest joy was meeting his first great granddaughter.  He attended Liberty and Temple Baptist Churches.  He was a long-time member of Ken Clark's men's group and volunteered at the Welcome Desk at Liberty.  Dad was fortunate to have several pastors/ministerial providers to keep him straight.  Special thanks to Ken Clark, Pastor Joe Hunt, and Pastor Wes Taylor for their support and guidance.  Another special thank you to his loving neighbors for their help and watch care over mom and dad over the years.

Survivors include two children, Michael Bullion and his wife Judi, Todd Bullion and his wife Melissa; four grandchildren, Meghan Beatrez and her husband John, Maddie Bullion, Jessica Davis and her husband Mark, and Jett Bullion; two step-grandchildren Alyssa, and Jarrett Souza; one great granddaughter Maya; one brother Harvey Bullion. Other survivors include sister-in-law Norma Gardner; several cousins, nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his loving wife Wyoma "Dot" Bullion; his parents, Neadham and Ida; and several other family members.

The family would like to thank Liberty and Temple Baptist church families for prayers and support during this time of need.  Thank you also to Interim Hospice Care for all of their support and help.

A graveside service with full military honors will be held on Friday, November 19, 2021 at 3:00 PM at Peninsula Memorial Park. The family is asking that those in attendance wear masks.
