Janice Fay Williams went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 22, 2022. She was born March 4,1952 in Tabor City, North Carolina and had resided in Newport News, Virginia for over 30 years.

She was a lifelong Christian and a member of Faith Church of God. She loved serving the Lord, reading the Bible and praying for family, friends and strangers.

She spent her life taking care of her loved ones. Having her family together for holidays and birthdays brought her so much joy. Her love for animals was beyond compassionate. She would feed strays and even welcomed them in her home. She had a heart of gold. She enjoyed country and gospel music and had a special love for Elvis. Visiting Graceland was a dream come true for her.

Janice was a fighter, beating cancer twice as well as dealing with many other health issues. She was so strong willed and never let illness take away her faith in God and his healing power. She was and is truly now an Angel.

Philippians 4:6 Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done.

Janice leaves to cherish her memory, her three girls Rachel, Melissa and Natlie; her 5 grandchildren Steven, Michael, Erica, Qadira and Ennis III; her surviving partner Ernest "Ernie"; and her great grandchildren; as well as her beloved pets Clyde and Kit Kat.

Visitation will be from 1 to 2 PM Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at W. J. Smith & Son Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 3 PM at Peninsula Memorial Park.
