My lovely wife Janice passed away last night, peacefully at home on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 surrounded by her son Erik, her daughter-in-law Dawn, her granddaughter Madison, and my son. Janice fought a rough battle with COPD for 28 years. She was a mother, a life friend, painter, a volunteer for cat rescue, drove a City Bus in Norfolk Virginia, and was a wonderful cook. Jan grew up in Fall River, Massachusetts,  got married at a young age to Bob Tate and had 3 boys, 2 were twins. She was a person with a strong ethical code, a staunch Democrat, who believed in fairness, and the treatment of everyone equally in a fair loving way. I loved her and will miss her companionship. She loved her family and friends. I deeply miss her.
