Obituary

Jane Theresa Tholl Ross, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and booming source of sunshine to all who knew her, went home to be with the Lord on December 21, 2025, at the age of 89.

Jane lived a life rooted deeply in faith. She accepted Christ in 1948, a moment that shaped every chapter that followed. Her devotion to God guided her choices, her calling, and the way she loved others so freely and completely.

She attended Toccoa Bible School from 1951 to 1954 and continued her education at Toccoa Bible College beginning in 1955. Jane later attended Moody Bible Institute from 1956 to 1958, earning a degree in Christian Education. Her faith was not only something she believed but something she lived, modeling gentleness, service, and unwavering love.

Jane married on August 2, 1958, to the love of her life, Neil C. Ross. Together, they shared a calling to ministry. As a devoted pastor's wife, Jane served faithfully alongside Neil, and in 1966 they helped establish Community Bible Church. Her role was one of quiet strength, hospitality, prayer, and steadfast support, loving people well and helping build a church rooted in truth and grace. She joins Neil now in heaven. Theirs was a forever kind of love, and their union brought forth a life devoted to God, family, and service.

Jane was the proud mother of four children and the cherished grandmother of ten grandchildren. She was also blessed with eleven great grandchildren, with one more eagerly anticipated to arrive in June. She was a loving sister and a treasured aunt, holding each of those roles with the same tenderness, warmth, and devotion that defined her life.

To her family, Jane was comfort and constancy. She was the softest place to land, the safest voice on the phone, the steady presence that made everything feel okay. Her love was unconditional. She pursued her people simply because she loved them, offering warmth, joy, and tenderness without expectation.

Jane often reminded those she loved, "Only one life will soon be passed. Only what's done for Christ will last." She lived this truth daily through her faith, her kindness, and the way she loved others so well.

Jane's legacy is not only found in the generations that follow her, but in the way she made people feel known, cherished, and at home. Her sunshine will be deeply missed, but the love she poured into this world will continue to live on in every life she touched.
