James (Jamie) Preston Hooks was called home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 7, 2022, at Riverside Hospital, at 8:30 p.m.

He was born Jan 25, 1968 to Carl and Helen Hooks in Newport News, VA. He was employed at Walmart Disrtibution center. He had a love for motorcycles and enjoyed riding. He also, had a love for fishing.

He was proceeded in death by his grandparents James and Susan Walker and his only sibling, his sister, Susan V. Lee. He leaves to cherish his memories, his parents Carl and Helen Hooks; his son, Semaj N. Hooks; his niece, Jazmyne C. Hooks; his grandmother, Gladys Pearce; his Uncle, Gary Walker (Pearl), his Aunt, Josephine Luckey (Bobby), a nephew, Maleek J. Etheridge and a niece, Maleeyah J. Etheridge; and a long time friend Sherry A. Langhorne; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services will be private.
