Isabelle "Belle" Branch, 97, passed away on November 27, 2024 after a brief illness.  Born at home in Lindsay, VA on July 10, 1927, she lived there until marrying the love of her life, Woodrow "Woody" Branch, on October 18, 1947.  They relocated to Newport News where they built their lives together and raised their beloved daughter.

Belle lived an active, purpose-filled life in service to her family, friends and others.  She was a long-time member of Deer Park Baptist Church in Newport News, volunteering and participating in a wide variety of church-related activities throughout the years.  She also volunteered at the Newport News Baptist Home for 25 years.

Belle thrived on hobbies that kept her moving and physically fit.  She loved bowling, walking, and cutting her grass.  She enjoyed traveling to new places and especially loved spending time in the Outer Banks with close family.

She is survived by her daughter Linda Rowell; sister Shirley Masten; numerous nieces and nephews; and her beloved granddog Mindi. She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow "Woody" Branch.

A very special thank you to Marie, Shanae, and Mario from Riverside Hospice.  Their guidance, medical and personal care, and immeasurable kindness are truly appreciated.
