Gregory Scott Millard, 57, of Newport News, Virginia, passed away on April 23, 2026, in his hometown. Born on June 24, 1968, in Newport News, Gregory spent his life deeply connected to the community where he was raised.

Gregory graduated from The Newport News Shipyard Apprentice School, a foundation that led to a fulfilling career at BAE Systems Norfolk Ship Repair.

His dedication and hard work were evident throughout his professional life.

Gregory is survived by his father, James Millard; his beloved wife of 23 years, Kim Millard; his daughter, Gracie Millard; his stepson, Cameron Thompson; and his step-grandson, Cayson Thompson. He was predeceased by his mother, Donna Millard, and his brother, Brian Millard.

He was a man of faith and a devoted Christian. Gregory frequently attended church services with his family when possible.

His love for music and movies was matched only by his passion for sports of all kinds; whether playing golf or watching it on television. Gregory also had a deep appreciation for amusement parks and roller coasters, always seeking out fun and excitement wherever he went. He was known for being fun-loving and outgoing. Gregory's vibrant personality made him the loudest voice in the room and a source of energy for those around him.

Gregory's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. May his legacy bring comfort to all who mourn his passing.
