Gordon Willard Waid, age 82, passed away Friday, April 5, 2024 at home surrounded by his children.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and Cletris Waid, one brother, Jessie Newton Waid and his sister, Catherine Baker.
Gordon is survived by his son, Gordon David Waid, his daughter, Debbie Michelle Waid and his stepdaughter, Jacqueline Hart.

He retired as a Master Carpenter from Newport News Shipbuilding after 35 years of dedicated service. Gordon's passion in life was growing his garden, caring for his lawn, flowers and most of all his family. He was always there for his children and will be dearly missed.
