Gary McLaughlin, beloved father, grandfather, great‑grandfather, brother, and friend, entered into eternal rest on July 8, 2026, at the age of 70. Born on March 5, 1956, in Manhattan, New York, Gary was the son of the late Bertha Lorena (Whitaker )and Harry James McLaughlin. Through his company, **G and J Home Repair Consultants**, Gary specialized in sheet rock, tile and wood flooring, and a wide range of handyman work. His hands built, repaired, and restored countless homes, and his work ethic left an impression on everyone who knew him.
Gary is survived by his loving children: Tamecia "Meme" (McLaughlin) Raynor and Sharkita Jenine (McLaughlin) Roberson (DeAndre), Dorthea "Buttons" Fullwood, Nikki West , and the late Shonna Hardy, who was deeply cherished.
He is survived as well by his siblings: Rene E. Sturdivant, Kevin McLaughlin, and Carmen Blackmon, who will forever hold his memory close.
Gary leaves behind a beautiful legacy through his grandchildren: grandsons Kenneth Raynor, Quran Willis, Elijah Emory, and Kenai Fullwood; granddaughters Kissiyah Willis, Tinaiyah Hall, and Ava Roberson. He was also blessed with great‑granddaughters Karmen Antoine-Willis and Kamila Antoine-Willis, including a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and his church family.
