Gale Bush, 87, left this earth on Saturday, February 15, 2025 to be with his Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ. Gale is survived by Yvonne Bush of Newport News, his wife of 64 years; his son Alan Bush; his daughter Linda Reeve; two granddaughters Elizabeth and Lauren, and five great grandchildren.  Gale was preceded in death by his sister Retha Kirk and his grandson Dean Swann.

Gale was a graduate of Keokee High School in Keokee, Virginia and the Apprentice School for Newport News Shipbuilding.  Gale was a longtime employee in the shipbuilding industry having been an employee of Newport News Shipbuilding, John J. McMullen Associates and AMSEC. Gale was an active member of First Baptist Church Newport News, where he participated in providing meals for shut-ins. He was also active with the Freemasons and the Republican Party. Gale joined the Newport News Republican City Committee in 2006. He was involved with different volunteer groups within the Committee such as political events on the Peninsula, State Conventions, Firehouse Primaries and election recounts.
