Ernest M. Godshall, 93, passed away Monday, November 6, 2023. Born in Souderton, PA to the late Clayton and Edna Godshall, he had been a peninsula resident for many years.

Throughout his life, Ernest was dedicated to many endeavors; including delivering milk for Colony Farms Dairy and working in the office; working as a HVAC estimator with Brunk Mechanical; and Pastor of Providence Mennonite Church for 16 years, retiring in the mid 1990's. He was also actively involved in Calvary Mennonite Church in Newport  News for 26 years.

Survivors include his wife of 72 years, Martha Shenk Godshall; three children, Emily Christner (Ernie) of Indiana, Linda Clark (Danni) of Virginia, and Kevin Godshall (Judy) of Delaware; one sister Elizabeth Landis (Mark); 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by two children, Karl Godshall and Kenneth Godshall;  two sisters, Esther Bishop and Evelyn Nice; a brother Edward Godshall; and one grandchild.

Visitation will be from 1 to 2 PM Saturday, November 11, 2023 at Huntington Mennonite Church. A memorial service will follow  at 2 PM. Burial will be private. Memorial donations may be made to Mennonite Disaster Service.
