Dewayne "Alan" Walker, better known as Grady to his grandchildren, age 61, passed away on Monday, January 22, 2024. He was a native of Hampton and was a resident of Midlothian for over 30 years. Alan was a graduate of Kecoughtan High School and Longwood University. He previously was a business partner specializing in employee benefits and asset management.  He loved Jesus and his family deeply.

Survivors include his three children, Kasey Walker Althoff (Michael) of Durham, NC, Jonathan Walker (Molly) of Richmond, and Landon Walker of Richmond; his parents, Jerry and Sara Walker of Hampton; one sister Sara Cole (Kevin) of Newport News; and five grandchildren, Rhett, Sutton, Campbell, Westley and Story. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Lynn Walker, Jr.

Visitation will be from 1 to 2 PM on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at W. J. Smith & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 2 PM. Burial in Parklawn Memorial Park will follow the service.
