It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Charles H. Waggoner, who died peacefully at his home on November 26, 2025. Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, on June 5, 1937, Charles lived a life marked by a love of crafting and the open water of the Chesapeake Bay. A talented craftsman, Charles found joy in working with his hands, a passion that manifested beautifully in his hobby of building boats and sailing them across the bay he loved so much. His skills and dedication to his craft were admired by all who knew him. Charles was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 37 years, Macie Wagoner; his mother, Margaret Wagoner; his father, Lester E. Wagoner; and his daughter, Loretta McCormick. He is survived by his son, Timothy Turner, and his nephew, Scott Hill of Indianapolis. His memory will be cherished by his family and friends. In accordance with his wishes, Charles's ashes will be spread at a later date, allowing him to rest eternally in the waters he so cherished. A celebration of life will be held for family and friends in the near future.
