Catherine Lewis Barnes, 98, a former Peninsula resident, died on Tuesday, May 11, 2021. She retired as a machine operator from Maida Development after 29 years. Catherine loved watching all sports on television.

She is survived by her son, Michael Barnes and his wife Shirley of Gloucester; granddaughter, Michelle Barnes of Williamsburg; and great-granddaughter Kristin W. Dennen of Gloucester. She was preceded in death by her husband Ervin L. Barnes and a son Gary Barnes.

A graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Friday, May 14, 2021 at Hampton Memorial Gardens with Pastor Doug Johnson officiating.
