Carolyn Jean Hitchcock, 85, passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2022. She was a native of Springfield, Illinois and raised in Pawnee, Illinois. She had been a resident of Urbanna since 2009. While living in Urbanna she was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Urbanna Women's Club. She retired as a corporate accountant with Titan Industries.

Survivors include two daughters, Susan K. Krebs and her husband Edward of Hampton and Lynne C. Poland of Urbanna; one sister Virginia "Ginger" Bryant and her husband Larry of Richardson, TX; two nieces, Shannon Napier and her husband Tim and Sarah Conlin and her husband Tim, both of Richardson, TX; and a host of other family.

She was preceded in death by her son Mark Poland, and her oldest daughter Cynthia Poland.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 PM (Noon) on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 250 Fox Hill Road, Hampton with Pastor David Fox officiating.
