Carol Schmitten Clements, 63, of Norfolk, Virginia, passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2022.

Carol was born in Cincinnati, Ohio and spent most of her early years in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and the surrounding areas. After graduating from Triangle Technical Institute in 1981, she moved to the Peninsula and felt right at home. Carol dedicated her 30 year career as an Engineering Supervisor in the US Navy shipbuilding and repair Industries in the Hampton Roads area until she retired in 2020.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Phillip and Norma Schmitten; and left behind two brothers, Michael Schmitten (Jane) of Navarre, FL and Karl Schmitten (Tracey) of Tampa, FL; and nieces and nephews, Matthew, Kayla, Sarah and Kody.

Carol enjoyed life by spending time with family, friends and colleagues.

Services will be private.
