Bob Black, 66, of Hampton died Tuesday, March 21, 2023 following a short illness. He lived his whole life in Hampton.

He is survived by the love of his life and his companion for 35 years, Sharon Powers, of Hampton; his brother Steve Black of Hampton; one nephew, Brandon, and his wife, Ashley, and their two daughters, Amelia and Reese, all of Smithfield. He is also survived by his Uncle Jimmy and Aunt Ladene Bray, Aunt Jan Moore, and many cousins all of Arkansas. He is also remembered by Sharon's sons, Dirk and Gary Dean Powers.

Bob would give the shirt off his back to help a friend or neighbor, or anyone who needed a helping HAND. He had many friends around his neighborhood. Steve, Bob's brother, said he was not only his brother but his best friend. He helped Steve with many projects over many years. Bob and Steve aggravated each other in many fun ways and enjoyed it so much. Steve said he will miss Bob a lot. Bob came to know his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, during his short illness. We now know he is healed and out of pain.
