Dec 13, 1961 — May 28, 2026
In Loving Memory of Captain Antonio Von Johnson, aka "Master Blaster"
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Captain Antonio Von Johnson, United States Marine Corps (Retired), on May 28, 2026.
A true hero, leaving behind a legacy of service, strength, and unwavering love for his family.
Captain Johnson dedicated more than 30 years of his life to serving his country as a United States Marine and Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Officer. He was known as "Master Blaster," a nickname earned through his distinguished service and mastery of the Explosive Ordnance Disposal profession. The title reflected not only his expertise and accomplishments, but also the respect he earned from those who served alongside him throughout his remarkable military career.
To his family and friends, he was known as Jay, but most importantly he was a husband, Dad, and Papa.
Though he accomplished much in uniform, his greatest pride was his family. He worked tirelessly to ensure those he loved were cared for, supported, and safe. He was a man of immense strength, wisdom, and compassion. The example he set through his sacrifice, hard work, and devotion will remain one of his greatest legacies.
Captain Johnson leaves behind his loving children, Aiesha, Ahnakiya, Briahni, Cyehna, Safiya, and Johanne and 17 beautiful grandchildren who will forever cherish his memory. A sister and brother also survive him. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Rochelle, his granddaughter Zuri'Rayne, and his parents, Lubertia and Leander.
While our hearts ache with his absence, we take comfort in knowing that his legacy lives on through the lives he touched and the values he instilled.
As an EOD warrior, he spent a lifetime protecting others and answering the call of duty. His final mission is complete.
"Your watch is over, Master Blaster."
May we honor him by living with the same courage, integrity, and devotion that defined his life.
Semper Fidelis - Always Faithful.
Forever loved. Forever missed. Never forgotten.
