Obituary

Anthony J Buchanan, 36, of Greensboro, NC, was taken from us all too soon after a long courageously fought battle

Anthony is survived by his three sons, Gerek(15), Seth(12) and Ethan(11); his mother Barbara Parker (Wayne) and father Loren Buchanan, brothers Nathanael, Jesse and Nick and sisters Amanda Green (Jon) and Sarah; two nieces Arianna and Charlotte. He also leaves behind numerous friends, most notably Jeremy, Stephanie, Athena and John, all of whom Anthony came to view as family.

Anthony lived hard and fought hard to live. After many years and many battles seemingly won, on March 1, 2022, mental illness hit its target and won the war. In his 36 years, Anthony's passions and achievements were many. His proudest achievement was having three wonderful sons who bear the likeness and characteristics of their beloved father.

It's impossible to remember Anthony and not think of his passion for music, especially live concerts. It was a means of communication for him that he loved to share with his friends. He credited music with getting him through many tough times and helping him win some battles.

Anthony always loved a challenge. Whether it was knocking the roof off a sales quota, starting a new business, running a marathon or completing a tough mudder, he was always trying to outdo himself. Nothing seemed impossible for Anthony. In a short lived podcast that Anthony started, he said "Today is all we can count on. If I die today, I want to leave something that impresses somebody to do something. I'm always saying 'Here goes something' and telling people to 'Do the damn thing'."

A memorial service in Virginia will be held at a later date.
