Anne Wilson Warren, 81, passed away on Thursday, May 6, 2021, at her home in Newport News. She was born in Kentucky in 1940, but moved to Newport News at a young age, and spent her life there. Anne went to college first at Wake Forrest and then transferred to William & Mary, where she graduated. She worked as a historical guide for Colonial Williamsburg for many years, sharing her love of history with many, many school groups. She also loved to travel, and later worked for Globus as a tour director, sharing her wealth of knowledge and joy of traveling with many tour groups. Anne traveled extensively throughout her life and saw many of God's great wonders of this earth, which brought her great joy.

She was preceded in death by her mother Loretta Wilson; father Junius Wilson; and sisters, Judith Wilson and Shirley Rutland. She is survived by her sister June Grant; her daughter Jennifer Johnson and son-in-law Tim; her son Alec; her beloved grandchildren, Lauren, Tyler, Meagan, Conner, Bradley and Isaac; as well as nieces and nephews, and many great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2021 starting at 11:00 AM at Temple Baptist Church in Newport News, followed by a memorial service at 12:00 PM. A private graveside service will follow.
