Angela Lynn
Kadlec
d. Aug 25, 2025
Elizabeth City
Angela Lynn Kadlec, 54, of Elizabeth City NC, went peacefully with her family by her side to her heavenly home on August 25, 2025 from complications after a courageous battle with cancer. Angela was born on April 28, 1971, in Newport News, VA to Neil and Linda Baranowski. Angie was a force of nature from the start.
Angie is survived by her husband Gary Fuzie, her sons Devin Kadlec and Michael Fuzie, Mother Linda (Baranowski) Ferree, step-father Joey Ferree, Sisters Jennifer (George) Link, Kristen Nolasco, Brother Anthony Baranowski, Nieces Alexis, Aubree, KarLeigh, Riley (Chandler) and Nephews Caleb, Chance, Kaden and Adam. Life long friend Lori Armer, and a large loving family, life time friends and her beloved fur babies. She was preceded in death by her father Neil A. Baranowski, paternal grandparents Anthony and Ruth Baranowski, maternal grandparents Ben Horrell and Margie Williams and cousin Melissa Mowery.
Angie was known for her infectious laugh, vibrant sense of humor and her remarkable ability to light up any room she entered. Her love for her family and friends was boundless, and she cherished every moment spent with them. A talented cook, Angie found joy in preparing meals and sharing her many beloved recipes. She was also passionate about crafting and scrapbooking-creative outlets that showcased her thoughtful and generous spirit.
Angie was the kind of person who would give the shirt off her back, even if it was the last thing she owned. Her compassion extended to all living beings, especially animals, whom she loved deeply and unconditionally. Even through her courageous battle with cancer, Angie never lost her strength, her positivity, or her signature humor. Her goal was always to help others, and she remained true to that mission-even in her toughest days. Angie's legacy is one of love, laughter, generosity, and resilience. She touched countless lives, and her light will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew her.
We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the compassionate doctors, nurses, and staff at UNC Chapel Hill for the exceptional care Angie received throughout her journey. Their kindness and dedication made a profound difference in her life and ours. We are also incredibly thankful to our family and friends for their unwavering support- their time, generous donations, and heartfelt prayers brought us strength and comfort during the most difficult moments. Your love meant the world to Angie, and it continues to mean the world to us.
