Amy Irene Wharton, 47, passed away on Monday, September 2, 2019.
Amy was a Quality Assurance Auditor at WPS in Hampton, and a graduate of Bethel High School. She was a loving mother and a wonderful Mei-Mei. Amy was outgoing and a friend to everyone she met.
She is survived by her parents, William T. Wharton Jr. and Pauline Wharton; her 3 children, Emmaleigh Machel and her husband Andrew, Aislynn Powell and her husband Ricky, and David Burton and his wife Paola; her grandchildren, Paxton Powell, Landon Machel, Maddox Powell, Jaxxon Powell, Isabella Burton, and Hazel Machel. She is also survived by two brothers, William T. Wharton III (Ty) and his wife Sheila and Aaron C. Wharton and his wife Hope.
The family will receive friends at 10:00 am Saturday, September 14, 2019 at W. J. Smith & Son Funeral Home in Newport News, VA.
The family wishes in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to her grandchildren.
